Growing up in Arkansas City, KS, Michelle Vann spent her childhood learning and growing. After graduating high school, she started college at Cowley County Community College before transferring to Butler County Community College where she gained an Associate of Arts degree in Education. In 1990, the same year as completing this milestone, Michelle married William Vann and continued her educational journey culminating with a Bachelor of Arts from Newman University specializing in Elementary Education.
After graduating, Michelle dedicated almost two decades of her professional career to the Wichita Public Schools. During this time, she was able not only to make an impact on probationary teachers and young people in various roles but also furthered her own education by obtaining a Master of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on History followed shortly after retirement by a Doctorate in both Christian Counseling as well as Theology, from Faith Bible College.
With an undeniable passion for education, Michelle ventured into Higher Education, first as a Financial Aid Representative at Tabor College then as Dual Credit Coordinator at Friends University and now as a Adjunct for Cowley College. But her love of learning didn't end there - she also pursued ministerial licensure through Victorious Life Bible College while balancing life with her husband in ministry over the span of 28 years. A true testament to developing knowledge and carrying out service!
